Burner Air Supply, Model TJ 38 & Model TJ 36

Description:

The J.U.M. Engineering Burner Air Supplies are highly efficient air purification instruments for the production of hydrocarbon-free air as required for hydrocarbon analyzers and gas chromatographs using the flame ionization detector (FID) principle.

It takes in ambient air through a dual-stage diaphragm pump assembly. The air then is filtered in a 4 micron particle filter and routed through a cooling coil and a water trap to collect any moisture from ambient air. The organic impurities (hydrocarbons) are then adsorbed in the dual-stage purifier. These purifiers are filled with a special type of activated carbon and have to be recharged only every 12-18 months.

The burner air pressure is controlled by two front panel pressure regulators. A pressure relief-valve prevents stalling of the pump motors after e.g. a short current failure.

Available as in 19" rack mount (TJ 36) or as a portable table top version (TJ 38).
